In continuation of its commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle among its staff and the community, Milaha celebrated Qatar’s National Sport Day by hosting a variety of sporting activities ranging from popular sports such as soccer, volleyball, cricket, and basketball to less known sports such as sumo wrestling, human foosball and the first real-life Angry Bird™ Challenge in Qatar.
Employees from across the Milaha group participated in the activities along with their families. Approximately 1,500 adults and children enjoyed the day out at Qatar Racing Club in Doha. A special zone focused on children’s activities was set up with games such as kiddie obstacle race, block building, sack race, and inflatables, to name a few.
Taking part in the activities, Milaha’s President & Chief Executive Officer Mr. Abdulrahman Essa Al-Mannai said: “The annual National Sports Day is a confirmation of Qatar’s promotion of a healthy lifestyle and its strong presence in the world sports arena. We at Milaha seek to promote an active lifestyle not just on this day but throughout the year, as having a healthy population is one of the tenets of Qatar National Vision 2030. I would like to thank our colleagues and their families for their participation in today’s activities; it was a wonderful opportunity for us to come together as a community.”
