Milaha began its shipping business in 1974 as a barging and lighterage services provider in the Arabian Gulf. From there, it quickly grew – operating general cargo ships and soon progressed to own and operate a fleet of container ships that served routes between Qatar and other GCC countries.

From 2018 onwards, Milaha started expanding its networks both in easterly and westerly directions—it introduced liner and feeder services in the Indian subcontinent, the Black Sea, and the Eastern Mediterranean region, as well as Southeast Asia, including China. The services have been developed with the customer in mind and provide what they value most – improved transit times and best-in-class customer service.
