Vessel Operation

  • All Vessels through their respective agents should submit Declaration of Medical Health prior arriving at Port. This form shall be filled and submitted as part of pre-arrival questionnaire 72-48 and 24 hours prior to vessels arrival.
  • Any vessel visited any ports of the high alert countries in the last 30 days should submit the Coronavirus declaration along with the maritime health declaration at least 48 hours prior to arrival to any port of State of Qatar.
  • This document will be submitted to concern authorities for further verification and approvals for vessel berthing.
  • Vessels calling directly from Iran will be allowed to berth only after approvals from authorities.
  • Please attach the following documents: –
    • Last ten Ports of call
    • Crew list with crew joining date and place

Crew Change and Related Matters

  • For any crew change, please contact your respective agent well in advance and notify your plan.
  • Nationalities of 14 countries’ entry into state of Qatar was temporarily banned on 11th of March 2020. Including those holding valid Qatar Residence Visa, On-Arrival visa, Seamen Visa, business visa etc
  • The temporary ban will be applicable on people or crew coming from Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria and Thailand.
  • Further on 14th March 2020 temporary ban on citizens of Italy, France, Germany and Spain, as well as all others travelling from these countries to enter Qatar.
  • All vessels visiting Hamad Port should complete COVID-19 Health Declaration before 72 hours of arrival.
  • Crew change – Only sign-off permitted if the crew already have seamen visa and on emergency cases on case by case by submitting an undertaking by the agent along with onward confirmed flight ticket. No Sign-On permitted.
  • Emergency medical is permitted, in such crew will be taken to hospital by ambulance. All medical emergency, Master should report to Port Tower by calling on VHF and inform the agent simultaneously.
  • No shore leave permitted

Ship Supplies

  • Ship supplies including provision, spares, fresh water etc are possible however the master should inform the requirement well in advance ( at least 72 hours before), so arrangements and approvals can be made accordingly.

  • Body temperature log of master and crew onboard to be submitted. Also Master to confirm that no crew member including Master is suffering from any Acute respiratory illness such (cough/cold/rainy nose/Chest pain) with sign and stamp”
  • Vessels calling directly from Iran will be allowed to berth only after staying in anchorage for a 14-day period.

  • Any Resident Permit Holder visiting from/to NOC or Qatar Gas field on offshore vessel can sign-on / off.
  • Emergency medical is permitted, in such case crew will be taken to hospital by ambulance. All medical emergency, Master should report to Port Tower by calling on VHF and inform the agent simultaneously.
  • No shore leave permitted

  • Crew change – Only sign-off permitted if the crew already have seamen visa, and on emergency, cases to case basis by submitting an undertaking by the agent along with onward confirmed flight ticket. No Sign-On permitted.
  • Emergency medical is permitted, in such cases crew will be taken to hospital by ambulance. All medical emergency, Master should report to Port Tower by calling on VHF and inform the agent simultaneously.
  • No shore leave permitted, unless there is special requirement.
  • Contractors and employees working at NOC sites and facilities returning from above mentioned 14 countries, Italy and Singapore have to stay in self-isolation in Qatar for 14 days before being authorised to return to NOC sites and facilities.
