Milaha Port Services is a business units of the Milaha Maritime and Logistics Pillar.

Milaha Port Services currently manages and operates Doha Port, the only commercial port in Qatar, with an annual container throughput capacity of approximately 750,000 TEUs (Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units). In addition to containerized cargo, Doha Port also handles approximately 2.5 million freight tons yearly of Break Bulk, Ro/Ro and Project cargo, as well as livestock.

In September 2012, Milaha Port Services implemented the Jade Master Care TOS (Terminal Operating System) at Doha Port. The new TOS, combined with the Rostima labour management system, has enabled Milaha Port Services to streamline the port’s business processes, providing customers with the latest consignment information.

Milaha has been a reliable container feeder services provider within the GCC region for more than 50 years. Catering for the transport requirements of local importers and exporters with a modern fleet of fully-cellular container vessels, Milaha is today a market leader in maritime transport between Qatar, Oman, India and Pakistan.

Milaha’s fleet consists of 11 fully cellular fully-owned and chartered container vessels ranging from 515 TEUs to 4,606 TEUs in nominal capacity. In addition to our fleet of container ships, we operate a flat-top barge and towing tug boat dedicated to container feeder shipping in shallow waters. This combination of vessels allows us to provide a comprehensive network to meet feeder demands of our customers within the region.

Qatar Navigation Lines (QNL) began operations in 1995, with service between Dubai and Doha. By 2007 QNL had expanded operations to include locations in the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, South East Asia, and East Africa. We currently operate a container fleet of 2,300 TEUs comprised of 20’ Standard Dry Containers; 40’ Hi-Cube Dry Containers and 40’ Hi-Cube Refrigerated Containers.

The Milaha Shipyard started operations in 1978 and today has become one of the GCC leading shipyard with more than 7,000 ships repaired, a total facility of 150,000 sqm and strategically located close to the new Hamad Port.

The Shipyard offers Dry Docking, Maintenance and Afloat Repairs capabilities to several kind of ships ranging from Offshore, Shipping lines, Navy and Yachts through its two Floating Docks and the Synchrolift up to 10,000 tons and 150m LOA capacity and 8 dry berths up to 50m LOA.

In addition to the Marine business, the Shipyard has diversified its actives into Onshore maintenance and Shutdown projects by utilizing its specialized skilled frontline and the large workshops facilities.

Milaha’s Chartering Department was established in 2003 in Dubai, and was renamed Bulk Shipping in 2012 as per new strategic re-organization and restructuring activities of Milaha. Since inception, Bulk Shipping has come a long way and now enjoys a good reputation with major vessel owners, operators and first class charterers. The Bulk Shipping unit is actively engaged in aggregate imports to Qatar. Milaha, as Charterers are credited with bringing the biggest size of vessel MV Shravan, a mini cape, for the first time to Messaieed Port in September 2012
